I live in South Australia in a 6 unit single level block. We all have a carport next to our units and have 3 visitor parks for use by units 2, 3 and 4 near my unit. The other units have 3 visitor spaces near the front entrance.
My neighbour (a tenant, not owner) has a low car (Holden Statesman) so has been parking on the steep park of the driveway as he cannot get into his carport. This makes it hard as I need to reverse out and have a turning circle to drive out of our driveway.
He was also started parking his large work car (Holden Rodeo) in the visitor car park, and his girlfriend has been parking her small car 5-6 nights a week also I the visitor car park. With his car and work car parked where they are I cannot reverse out of my carport easily. It’s making life difficult.
I have complained to Strata Data our body corporate but haven’t heard anything. Should I contact the neighbours land agent? Is he in breach? I believe we all have 1 visitor car park.
A previous owner did the same thing and was made to pay money to the body corporate to buy some of the common property to accommodate a second car. This is now my spot (I bought the unit) but I cannot use it as the visitor car parks block access to it when they are in use.
