I recall reading that as of last December, the maximum number of members a committee can have has been reduced to 7 in Victoria.

However a paragraph follows which allows for the number to be increased to 12 ‘by ordinary resolution’

      This relates to section 103.

I suppose the AGM would first have to agree to an increase in number to be increased, but otherwise there is effectively no change?

The change is the votes required to increase the numbers to 12

It’s a strange way to go about it but they are probably concerned about the hoo-haa that would result in some existing committees of 12 having to reduce their numbers.
