Under the new strata regulations, 2010, the recipient of a proxy does not have to sign the proxy form. In the past they did and so it was clear the proxy was happy to be the agent.
Some people in my SP, wisely, will not give a proxy unless they trust the recipient but often it is hard to find someone going to an AGM who can be trusted if one is not in the dominant clique.
So if a person now gives a proxy, for example, to the Chair with a list of instructions on how to vote for each motion does the Chair have to cast the vote for the owner? What if the Chair does not particularly want to be the agent for the owner?
