I would like to know if others have had experience making a complaint against a real estate agent to DFT. If so, what has been your experience?
I recently lodged a complaint and consider that I provided clear evidence (emails and letters) of unprofessional conduct by a real estate agent.
Perhaps I am wrong in believing that the law states that a real estate agent must carry out an instruction, unless doing so involves breaking the law? Evidently this no longer applies, and written documentation no longer serves as evidence for the DFT. In other words, the DFT elected to drop the matter, despite the rules of conduct for real estate agents being transgressed on several occasions, and written evidence being provided.
I am wondering if it is worth taking the matter to the Ombudsman.
