A month ago I was woken by some scattering sounds in the ceiling.
Continued on, mostly before sunrise. With investigations I have found that rainbow lorikeets are nesting in the roof cavity.
I have reported and sent pictures of the bird and roof damage to the SM. Was told they are sourcing quotes at the recent AGM.We have a flat clip lock roof with no hatch entry. I’m told a cherry picker is required to patch up the woodwork which the birds have eaten away near the eaves, and also repair guttering and get the birds out.
Is there a reasonable time-frame for a matter such as this to be addressed? Is it considered urgent? A pretty pest, but also quite destructive, not to mention noisy! My flat is directly below the two entry points they are using for access. Any advice?
Jinxed!
