Apartment and townhouse residents and owners in Sydney’s eastern suburbs will soon have an opportunity to catch up, exchange information and advice, and maybe even campaign for changes in the strata landscape.
Next weekend (October 7) will see the first meeting of the Eastern Suburbs Strata Networking Group, organised by strata expert and consultant Tonja Gibson who plans to help residents share their experiences and challenges away from the frontline of their homes.
“I’ve been a strata owner for quite some time and an active member of the Smart Green Apartment Group & Green Square Strata Network, organized by the City of Sydney,” says Tonja, co-founder of Strata Answers.
“Through my involvement, I’ve come to truly appreciate the immense value that networking with fellow owners brings – understanding their strategies, learning from their experiences, and staying updated on the latest in the strata world.
With this appreciation and a desire to broaden the circle of knowledge and support to others living and owning strata properties, she says she is taking the initiative to establish a strata networking group in the Eastern Suburbs.
The group is open to owners, tenants, and managers alike, with the vision of creating a welcoming space for everyone to come together, share their insights, and collectively enhance all aspects of strata living.
The first meeting will be in two parts with one session on improved building practices and the second hour about networking and sharing knowledge, experience and challenges.
“We plan to organize regular meetings and events where participants can engage in fruitful discussions, learn from one another, and contribute to the betterment of our strata community,” says Tonja.
“We want everyone to feel at ease sharing their experiences, asking questions, and proposing solutions.”
The programs will include guest speakers, experts, and professionals “to enrich our discussions and provide valuable insights into various strata-related topics.”
The first meeting is on Saturday 7th October at the Sustainability Classroom, Randwick Community Centre, 27 Munda Street Randwick, NSW 2031
