Lock up & Leave: Vietnam foodie tour returns

A few weeks ago we pitched you a foodie’s holiday to Vietnam, curated and guided by legendary Masterchef judges Matt Preston and Gary Mehigan.

It was pricey but that clearly didn’t matter – it sold out within a couple of hours and the pulsating video promoting the trip was taken down before it crashed their computers.

That’s the pulling power of TV celebrities, blended with inspiring travel and Vietnamese food.

Too much of a good thing?  Perhaps. So now they’ve come back with the same trip only without the celebrity chefs or the once-in-a-lifetime price tag.

At less than half the cost of the star-studded version, I’d be up for it if I hadn’t already been to Vietnam too many times in the past year. But that’s why it’s this week’s Pick of the Trips.

And  maybe you’ll enjoy it even more when the astonishing Vietnamese food – from street food to cordon bleu cuisine, hunted down and recommended by Matt and Gary – is the star of your show. Take a look HERE.

Choosy Cruise: Three-country Christmas magic on the mighty Danube. That’s HERE.

First Resort: Make it to Mykonos for a glorious Greek island odyssey.  That’s HERE.
