Our body corporate had a AGM Motion recently passed for a major re-painting program here. On quick perusal of the quotes presented I can see a list of important obvious exclusions and mention of a colour co-ordinator – which infers they are thinking to change the colour scheme and in my mind that becomes a improvement not maintenance so needs it’s own vote if that’s their intention. It’s worth 100k in a 50 lot complex. It was presented as being paid for over 2 years – which I didn’t think they could do? They are a pretty sure of themself committee who show little regard to legislation, common sense sometimes, and the input of owners. Any tips of seeking them to have a public meeting to show photoshopped imagery of any proposed changes (a picture tells 1000 words as we’ve done successfully before) and to get other owners on-board, and lessen the chance of heart failure should they think painting the place purple is a good idea?
