Roundup: Why I was on TV talking about … tunnels

Your favourite Flatchatter was on Studio 10 yesterday morning (August 1, some time after 9am) talking about … well, not strata issues, to be honest – that’s something for the near future.

In fact I was there to talk about the Viet Cong tunnels in Vietnam and promote my brand new contemporary crime novel Tunnel Vision.

I ended up talking mostly about the tunnels but I don’t mind – they’re a great bunch of people who make me feel very much at ease.  If you missed it, you can catch it by clicking HERE

On the other hand, you CAN hear me talking about strata living on ABC 702 next Wednesday (August 8) just after 2 pm on Afternoons with James Valentine.

And there’s a chance I’ll be on Radio National talking about apartments in the next weekend or so.  I’ll keep you posted.

Meanwhile, you lot have kept me busy with your posts.  No sooner had I typed the line “there will already be new questions …” at the end of last week’s roundup when another doozy dropped into the inbox.

So, before I toddle off to get my hair and make-up done, here are some of the latest questions and answers from the Forum.

  • Can I force my upstairs neighbours not to shower every night at 11.30 pm when I am trying to sleep? That’s HERE.
  • What do you do when your 60s block has never had a fire inspection? That’s HERE.
  • My block has a “no pets” by-law. What are the chances of getting that overturned at NCAT on the grounds that it’s “oppressive and discriminatory”? That’s HERE.
  • Can the committee force me not to park my bike in a space under the stairs that no one uses? That’s HERE.
  • Can I be excluded from committee emails because I am a non-resident? And what can I do about it? That’s HERE.

Now, even though we list the 20 most recent topics on the right-hand column, they get pushed off pretty quickly there’s so much traffic on the site.

So check back regularly or, even better, “subscribe” to the topics that interest you and you’ll get an alert telling you that something has been added.

OK, gotta go … I’m ready for my close-up.
